What You Will Need:

Shovel

Knife

Power drill

Pump

River Sand

Level

Stainless screws

Trowel

Pump Jacket

Pebbles varied sizes

Step 1

Step 2

After choosing your desired size pond, mark on the ground the pond area to be dug out.

Remember to allow space behind  for the waterfall support and around for planting.

When digging the hole make sure the base is leveled and cover the base with river sand to add support to the pond.    A trowel can be used to level this area.

Place the pond in the hole.

Do not step into pond as this may cause damage to your pond.

Maneuver until the pond appears to be level.  This may be checked by either a level or by using a small amount of water in the base so that the level may be determined by eye.

Step 3

Step 4

Using the soil that was removed from digging the hole, back fill around all sides of the pond edges for extra support.

When pond is leveled and sufficiently packed, fill the pond with water.

Step 5

Step 6

Attach hose to water outlet. If a shut off valve is requires, add to an accessible section of the hose for easy control of water flow. Then attach the other end of the hose to the pump.

Submerge pump into pond at the rear side making sure the hose and electrical cord runs up behind the waterfall.
*Disguise pump and any hose visible with a Superior Faux Products Pump Jacket.*

Step 7

Step 8

Position waterfall into desired place on the pond ensuring overhang is sufficient.

You may need to use a knife to slowly cut into waterfall sides to enable it to sit snugly onto the ponds edge as shown above.

Step 9

Step 10

Depending on your choice of waterfall, support may be needed at the rear. Check that the waterfall is positioned correctly so that water can not escape. A treated pine post can be used with rapid set concrete to secure.

When satisfied with the waterfall’s position, secure the waterfall to the pond and treated pine post support with stainless steel screws.

Step 11

Connect your pump.
Turn your water feature on and position a large river pebble over the water outlet at the top to disperse water evenly.

Step 12

Add mulch and greenery to your liking. Use different types of plants for what ever type of environment you are trying to achieve (Oriental, Tropical, etc.).
