After choosing
your desired size pond, mark on the ground the pond area
to be dug out.
Remember to
allow space behind for the waterfall support and around
for planting.
When digging the
hole make sure the base is leveled and cover the base
with river sand to add support to the pond. A trowel
can be used to level this area.

Place the pond
in the hole.
Do not step into pond as this may cause damage to your
pond.
Maneuver until
the pond appears to be level. This may be checked by
either a level or by using a small amount of water in
the base so that the level may be determined by eye.

Submerge
pump into pond at the rear side making sure the hose and
electrical cord runs up behind the waterfall. 
Position
waterfall into desired place on the pond ensuring
overhang is sufficient.
Depending
on your choice of waterfall, support may be needed at
the rear. Check that the waterfall is positioned
correctly so that water can not escape. A treated pine
post can be used with rapid set concrete to secure.
