Superior Faux Products, Inc. developed these construction panels in response to an unfulfilled need in the building materials marketplace. The faux building material products currently on the market look and feel fake. These cheap looking imitations use an injection-molding manufacturing process and paint on a faux finish. This process does not incorporate real pulverized rock into the product membrane and therefore does not have the same realistic look and feel of SFP’s panels. There simply is no comparison.

FAQ
Superior Faux Products waterfalls, ponds, landscape rocks and construction wall panels are manufactured in the United States.
SFP products incorporates real rock into the product, giving it the look, feel and wear of real rock without the weight and costly installation fees normally associated with natural rock.
All of our products are Fish and Plant friendly. SFP ponds are frequently used for varieties of fish life and aquatic plants.
SFP waterfalls, ponds, creeks, and landscape rocks will endure the harshest weather elements from severe winter cold to sweltering hot humid climates and stay outdoors all year long.
How long do these products last?
SFP products come with a ten year limited warranty for structural features. The products are colored by hand and therefore each item will differ slightly as with natural rock. Over a period of years the rock will age just as natural rock does.
How do Superior Faux Products compare to real rock?
SFP rocks and waterfalls have real rock in the product therefore giving it the look feel and strength of real rock without the weight and cost of real rock. Constructing a waterfall from real rock requires heavy machinery and is time consuming. SFP product is lightweight and can be installed in a matter of hours.
How do Superior Faux Products Rocks compare to other Artificial Rocks?
SFP rocks and waterfalls have real rock in the product whereas all other artificial rocks products on the market are made from various compounds such as fiberglass, resins and concrete creating a product that looks artificial.
In addition, SFP product prices are the lowest prices available in the market!
What do I use to clean the waterfalls?
You may use a stiff bristled brush or even a high pressure washer being careful not to hold the nozzle too closely to the rock as some pressure machines may be too strong. Be sure and test a small area first.
Note: Do not use bleach or any other stringent chemicals as this will discolor even natural rock.
When shocking your pool, remember to turn your waterfall off during the initial shock application. When your water ph is safe enough to swim in then it is safe to turn your waterfall back on.Can fish live in the ponds?
SFP ponds are fish and plant friendly and in fact we encourage pond enthusiast to use our ponds as they are the closest match to a natural setting as you will find. Plant life will thrive successfully for many years and moss will grow on the ponds if encouraged, producing that age old established look.
Are Superior Faux Products hard to assemble?
SFP products are easy to install and can be done by any homeowner/DYI in as little as a few hours. Our products are light weight and easy to move and handle. Retro fitting the rocks and waterfalls are accomplished by using a utility knife to cut away the rock in areas that you need a snug fit…it’s that easy!
Will these rocks/waterfalls withstand hurricanes?
When installed properly as suggested by the manufacturer, Superior Faux Products, Inc., your water feature/rocks are strong enough to withstand most weather conditions. Note: The rocks and water features must be anchored to either a pool deck area or in the ground using Resin Composite Board and screws.
(Please refer to Installation Guidelines available on our website)
POOL WATERFALL INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Tools Needed:
Hammer
Drill/Screw Gun
Utility Knife
Chalk
Materials Needed:
6 feet of 1 ½ flexible PVC hose
8 Stainless steel screws/bolts
Silicone Caulk
Hose clamps or zip ties, 2 per water outlet
2 pieces of 2x4 (TREX) or Resin Composite Board
Instructions:
Locate return valve inside your pool area.
Connect a ½ flexible hose from the return valve to the waterfall outlet.
It is most important to use hose clamps or zip ties where hose connects to return valve as well as the waterfall connection.
Place waterfall and cliff rocks around the pool in the desired position of installation. Step back and take a look to make sure you are happy with the waterfall location.
Scribe with a pencil or chalk the outer edges of all the pieces to be installed
To ensure a tight fit on your pool make sure you scribe the shape of the coping edge onto the pieces also.
Cut off excess rock with a sharp utility knife. Do this gradually to ensure a professional finish
Pre-run your water feature to assure that the water is running down the feature properly. You may need to trim the edges of the piece to insure a perfect fit. A small amount of water will not let you gauge flow correctly.
Using suitable sized blocks of TREX or resin composite wood, lift rock and position blocks under and against internal rocks edges.
After determining block position remove rock and outline in preparation for fastening.
Pre-drill holes into TREX blocks and pool decking for mounting of blocks. 2-4 blocks per item may be required.
Using stainless steel bolts, hammer through block into decking securing a structural installation.
Place rocks back over blocks and mark on pool decking to guide where to drill screws into place.
Screw through rock into block. Stainless steel screws are advised to prevent rusting.
Camouflaging of the screw heads can be achieved by putting wet silicone adhesive onto screw head and sprinkling authentic crushed rock onto silicone.
Pool Waterfall Installation Instructions
Page 2
NOTE: All SFP Waterfalls MUST be anchored to the pool decking. Failure to do so, forfeits Manufacturers Warranty. All SFP Waterfalls have a straight edge and are not intended for placement on a radius of the pool. Placing the waterfall on the radius of a pool is in violation of local code ordinances and forfeits Manufacturers Warranty.
If a radius is the desired location for the waterfall, your pool dealer may purchase additional rock materials to custom fit the waterfall to a radius.
We suggest the best time to install a water feature onto your pool is when coping and decking has been completed in the construction of a new pool.
We recommend that you place a real rock over the water outlet to help disperse the water flow evenly.
DO NOT operate the water feature when you are shocking your pool. If your chlorine levels are not correct you can bleach the waterfall. Remember that these water features of made of REAL ROCK, and real rock will change color. Simply lower the water level below the rock edge and turn off the valve that leads to the water feature. After PH levels have returned to normal you may operate your water feature again.
DO NOT walk, jump or climb on your water feature due to safety concerns.
Please watch children carefully around a body of water.
NOTE: Superior Faux Products, Inc. does not promote nor indorse the use of our rocks, water features, ponds or any SFP products, as diving vehicles. SFP does not manufacturer diving rocks and strictly prohibits the use of our products for such purposes. SFP Distributors/Dealers are not authorized to sell or promote our products for purposes of diving of any kind.
POND WATERFALL INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
What you Need:
*Shovel *Level *Hose & fittings
*Knife *Stainless screws *Pebbles varied sizes
*Power drill *Trowel *River Sand
*Pump *Pump Jacket
Step #1: After choosing your desired size pond, mark on the ground the pond area to be dug out.
Remember to allow space behind for the waterfall support and around for planting.
When digging the hole make sure the base is leveled and cover the base with river sand to add support to the pond. A trowel can be used to level this area.
Step #2: Place the pond in the hole. Do not step into pond as this may cause damage to your pond. Maneuver until the pond appears to be level. This may be checked by either a level or by using a small amount of water in the base so that the level may be determined by eye.
Step #3: Using the soil that was removed from digging the hole, back fill around all sides of the pond edges for extra support.
Step #4: When pond is leveled and sufficiently packed, fill the pond with water.
Step #5: Attach hose to water outlet. If a shut off valve is requires, add to an accessible section of the hose for easy control of water flow. Then attach the other end of the hose to the pump.
Step #6: Submerge pump into pond at the rear side making sure the hose and electrical cord runs up behind the waterfall.
Disguise pump and any hose visible with a Superior Faux Products Pump Jacket.*
Step #7; Position waterfall into desired place on the pond ensuring overhang is sufficient.
Step #8: You may need to use a knife to cut into waterfall sides to enable it to sit snugly onto the ponds edge as shown above.
Step #9: Depending on your choice of waterfall, support may be needed at the rear. Check that the waterfall is positioned correctly so that water can not escape. A treated pine post can be used with rapid set concrete to secure.
Step #10: When satisfied with the waterfalls position, secure the waterfall to the pond and treated pine post support with stainless steel screws.
Step #11: Connect your pump. Turn your water feature on and position a large river pebble over the water outlet at the top to disperse water evenly.
Step #12: Add mulch and greenery to your liking. Use different types of plants for what ever type of environment you are trying to achieve .
Inline Pump Installation Instructions
Inline pumps can be used submerged under water on free standing ponds or at the back of self-contained water features. The pond area of self-contained water features is generally too small to have the pump installed under water within the pond area. Under water installation is only recommended on large free standing ponds where the pump can be hidden be covering it with an optional SFP pump cover rock. Pump installation on self contains is extremely easy since all self contained water features from SFP come with flow control valves and plastic tubing that is easy to connect to the pump water intake fitting and the pump water return out fitting. On self contained installations remove the filter supplied with the pump that covers the water intake pump fitting. The filter is only used when an inline pump is installed under water in a free standing pond. SFP recommends that the flexible tubing supplied with the water feature be placed in heated water in order to make it more pliable so that it more easily fits over the pump fittings. After connecting the flexible tubing to both the intake and the outflow fittings on the pump, install a hose clamp at each connection point to prevent leaking. Hose clamps are readily available at all hardware supply stores. Do not overtighten the hose clamps. The connected pump should be placed behind the self contained waterfall on a flat surface. Once you have completed the pump installation, fill the pond portion of the self contained water feature with water and plug the pump into an adjacent electric outlet. You may need to prime the pump by pouring a pitcher of water into the water outlet on the self contained waterfall in order to get the air out of the flexible tubing lines. With the water now circulating from the bottom of your pond throuh your pump and back up to the self contained's water outlet , adjust the water flow control valve to regulate the amount of water flowing through your self contained water feature. Sit back and enjooy the soothing sound of your new water feature.

ABOUT US
Superior Faux Products, Inc. was formed in 2006 after its founders, Stephen and Kyle Ann Joseph wanted a waterfall for their new swimming pool. After obtaining a few quotes from companies that specialized in constructing waterfalls from actual boulders, it became clear that the use of real and heavy boulders would be too expensive, take too long to install and the needed backhoe would damage their new landscaping and sprinkler system. They started to investigate the possibility of using fiberglass or fiberglass reinforced concrete faux rock products for their desired pool waterfall. Stephen and Kyle Ann soon realized that there was no way to prevent concrete based products from cracking over time due to temperature variations and there was no way to prevent fiberglass based products from chipping and losing its "like new" stained finish over time. Finding no product that met their needs, Kyle Ann started investigating how a waterfall could be made that looked and felt real yet was lightweight, durable, easy to install, easy to maintain and affordably priced, After extensive research and development and several failed attempts, Kyle Ann figured out that the only way to make the desired waterfall was to actually embed pulverized rock and oxides into the product membrane during the manufacturing process. This proprietary process was fine tuned and Superior Faux Products, Inc. was born. Its competitors continue to mold their faux rocks and water features out of concrete or fiberglass and then paint on a finish stain coat which makes them look nice when new but highly susceptible to the elements over time. By expanding its massive product line, the Company soon discovered that their products were becoming ever increasingly popular. Starting production in early 2007 with only a couple employees working out of 5,000 sf, the Company has over tripled in size in 3 short years, has obtained a world famous theme park in Orlando, Florida as one of its valued customers and its products have been featured on both the HGTV and DIY national television networks. Now, Superior Faux Products sells its products all over the world and recently introduced an entirely new product line of faux stone construction panels used in the building industry.
